Management Team
Dave Brueck
Dave has broad technological interests but always finds himself coming back to data-driven applications and networking. At Tenfold Corporation, Dave led the Reporting team that created a world-class database reporting product for enterprise applications with very large data sets. At Edgix he helped develop solutions for satellite delivery of web content into local ISP caches. Other work has included writing file and application servers, optimizing large file delivery over the open Internet, inventing custom file and messaging protocols, and creating scalable and fault-tolerant web applications that provide both user and programmatic interfaces. At Move Networks Dave served as Chief Architect, where he also designed and implemented the first versions of many of Move's streaming software components, including the browser-based player plugin and its associated integration SDK, the media encoder and encoding job management system, the content management system, the statistics collection system, and the content protection (DRM) technology. Previously, Dave co-authored the Python 2.1 Bible and graduated from Brigham Young University.
Each company worked for is an education experience in and of itself. As such, Dave considers himself an alumnus of The Waterford Institute, Tenfold Corporation, Edgix, Coresoft, and Move Networks.
Tyler Bye
Tyler has been programming professionally since the age of 17. His early years were spent developing user interfaces for Fortune 500 companies. In 1997, Tyler joined Packet Engines and was responsible for leading the team in charge of all web presences. He was instrumental in integrating CRM, ERP, fulfillment, and shipping systems into the Intranet and customer facing extranet. At World Wide Packets, Tyler led the Element Management Systems team and introduced agile methodologies to the network management systems teams. After leaving World Wide Packets in 2002, Tyler consulted for Node Logic Networks in Seattle, WA. He was instrumental in creating their network node message queue, as well as developing their 3D network Management Navigator. As a founder of Liberty Lake Internet Exchange, Tyler continued to leverage his network protocol knowledge and built a world class data center now known as Tierpoint. Tyler joined Move Networks in 2004 and became team lead of the Digital Rights Management server products. While with Move Networks Tyler interfaced directly with technical leads from ABC, ESPN, CBS/Paramount, The CW, MySpace, Fox, and The Discovery Channel.
Tyler is an alumnus of Move Networks, Liberty Lake Internet Exchange (now Tierpoint), Word Wide Packets (acquired by Ciena), Packet Engines (acquired by Alcatel), Folio, Corel, WordPerfect.
